This web site is dedicated to descendants of Johannes H. Sauvage (born ca. 1698 in the Alsace-Lorraine Region) and his wife Susanna. They immigrated to America on the Winter Galley, arriving 05 Sep 1738 and purchased land in Berks County, PA. on 20 Mar 1743. He died in Berks County, PA. in 1761. Descendants americanized the surname to Sowash and later Soash as they moved west.

The Sauvage / Sowash / Soash Family Association was created in 1987.
